Senior/Marine HR Operator

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with Company policies, Thome Management System (TMS), MLC 2006, STCW 2010, Oil Major Matrix, and Flag State requirements meeting the crewing standards of Thome Group.
  •  Point of contact for Fleet Group and vessels for crew change operations for all crew-related matters.
  • Work with Marine HR Planners and prepare crew change plans in advance to optimize numbers/crew change and ensure cost-efficiency.
  • Ensure all crew changes are performed in accordance with Thome policy and each of the crew on board possess valid certificates and seafarers’ employment contracts.
  • Ensure compliance to crew training requirements and training certificates kept on file; arrange for the crew to attend training accordingly.
  • Notify FG/DOC (through Team leader if required) on any non-compliances/deviations from Thome procedures and/or from MLC/Flag requirements such as reporting cases of seafarers onboard for overrun of contracts.
  • Enrol crew on marine benefits(as applicable) and terminate upon the end of the contract.
  • Maintain close contact with the onboard crew and communicate directly for any issues/convincing for service continuation etc.
  • Ensure crew change expenses are within the approved budget and to approve all crewing-related invoices in Eyeshare.
  • Follow up on A1 status for NIS flag vessels.
  •  Reporting/Follow up on PANDI cases and Dispensations.
  • Perform risk assessment for procedures as per Thome requirements.
  • Monitor Appraisal/ECP status for onboard crew
  • Assist in preparing FG/owner specific reports
  • Any other task assigned by reporting manager

Education and Qualification

  • Diploma or GCE ‘O’ / ‘A’ level
  • Marine HR Operator (Minimum 1 year experience in crewing operation)
  • Senior Marine HR Operator (Minimum 3 years’ experience in crewing operation)
