Terje Askvig
Chairman
Terje is a Senior Advisor at Triton Partners, where he has been an Operating Partner since 2012. Prior to joining Triton, he spent five years at Eitzen Chemical ASA as CEO, a shipping company listed on Oslo Stock Exchange.
Before that he was Executive Vice President for seven years with Fred. Olsen & Co., including the role of CEO for Fred. Olsen Renewables AS.
Terje has also been CEO of BT Shipping Ltd, a NASDAQ listed oil tanker company and is a board member of DeepOcean Group Holding AS, Avarn Security Group Holding AS, as well as several other Triton related companies.
A Norwegian citizen, Terje holds a B.A in Business Administration from the University of San Francisco.
Olav Eek Thorstensen
Member of the Board
Olav has over 50 years’ experience in the commercial maritime sector, most notably pioneering third party ship management services to Scandinavian owners operating in the Singapore region. Under his leadership the Thome Group has had a strong emphasis on vessel performance, maintenance, crew training and cost control, which helped its business and services grow rapidly.
He has also been influential in various maritime bodies including his membership of the Singapore National Maritime Board, Council membership of the Singapore Shipping Association and being a Board Member and prominent advisor to various committees set up by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore.
Claes Eek Thorstensen
Executive Vice Chairman
Claes holds a degree in Master of Science (MSc) in Marine Engineering from University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, is a qualified Chief Engineer (Class 1, Unlimited) and Chartered Engineer (CEng).
He also holds an Executive MBA in Shipping, Offshore and Finance at BI and NTU.
Claes joined the Thome Group in 2000 and has held various management positions within the organization. These include Senior Manager-Projects, Managing Director of Thome Offshore; Managing Director of Thome Oil & Gas, and Group Chief Commercial Officer.
George Kypraios
Non-Executive Director
George is an experienced and well-travelled adviser both in terms of corporate development and capital raising, with a particular focus on infrastructure, primarily in the maritime and oil and gas sectors.
He has lived and worked in Australia, New York and Athens prior to moving to Singapore nearly ten years ago. His primary focus is working alongside entrepreneurs in the middle market segment looking to achieve exponential growth, whether through organic or inorganic means. He has a particular interest in digital and service design transformation and is aware of the importance of applying ESG (sustainable) principles in all aspects of business.
Geir Sjurseth
Non-Executive Director
Geir has more than 40 years’ experience in international banking and finance, working for most of his career in Oslo, Singapore, Bergen and London.
In a varied career he has been the CFO for shipowner Westfal-Larsen/Masterbulk, the CFO of the Vesta Insurance Group of Norway and CEO of Bergen Fondsmeglerforretning, a stockbroking company with a seat on the Oslo SE.
Most recently Geir has had several senior management positions with DVB Bank SE in Bergen, London and Singapore where he specialised in shipping and offshore finance support for owners and operators.
Camilla Eek Clauson
Non-Executive Director
Camilla holds a degree in Bsc Business Economics with Law degree from Queen Mary and Westfield College, University of London.
